The Chevelon Edge

Constructing high-conviction portfolios that place great importance on the value of original thought.

We largely seek individual securities where we believe there could be "multiple ways to win" over the long term. We actively seek this optionality and believe that constructing a high-conviction portfolio of positions with asymmetric profiles can assist us to better serve our clients and potentially compound their wealth over multiple years. While our investment selection process and stock selection framework inform us of our decisions, it is your individual goals, investment objectives, and risk profiles that take priority. We aspire to marry an active investment management approach with detailed valuation and fundamental analysis to better address topics such as risk/reward and individual security weights.

Chevelon Process

1

Introductory

At the onset, we explore what is important to you: your financial goals and objectives, your monetary desires, and the primary purpose for your wealth. We listen, learn, and respond to your queries.
2

Discovery & Alignment

We help bridge the divide between your appetite for risk, time horizon, and portfolio return expectations. We overlay this with your current financial circumstances, define and present an investment objective to you that we both agree on, and begin to chart the path forward.
3

Investment Selection

Here, we put our institutional experience to work and align your risk parameters and investment objective with investment securities that we believe will potentially accomplish your goals and aspirations in a portfolio setting.
4

Portfolio Construction

Stock specific and individual security specific risk (also known as idiosyncratic or unsystematic risk) is employed on a sliding scale in terms of weighting, depending on one's appetite for risk and their individual investment policy statement responses.
5

Assess...Measure...Calibrate

Once your investment dollars are compiled into what we believe to be an appropriate portfolio, we regularly monitor and assess investment outcomes and portfolio dynamics in an effort to evaluate if investment objectives are being adhered to.
